Big Mama

Great White Shark

Guadalupe Island

Guadalupe island is believed to be a mating ground for whites. After mating the females spend the next 18 months traveling through open ocean avoiding male sharks. They then return to Baja California to give birth to their pups. White pups hatch from their eggs in the womb and start feeding on other eggs that have not hatched. A mother will usually give birth to 2-8 pups. They are born 4-5 feet long and immediately swim away from their mother and start to hunt small marine animals.
