California Sea Lion Pup

La Paz

Sea Lion Colony

In October 2016, I took a boat up to a sea lion colony north of La Paz. It was one of the most exciting moments of my life. The adults and especially the pups were extremely curious, intelligent, and playful. I snuck up on this napping pup when he lazily yawned and scratched behind his ear.
